Kathy is an international speaker, published author and former US police investigator. Her work focuses on human trafficking for forced prostitution and violence against women. She provides a first hand perspective based on her experiences as a human rights investigator for the United Nations International Police Task Force in Bosnia. This includes the effectiveness of roles played by the United Nations and member states, government accountability, ethics, anti-corruption issues and personal responsibility. Kathy's activities in these areas are highlighted in her published work and in a film inspired by her story. Kathy is currently partnering with social studies educator, Arianna Marucci, in launching a new human rights curriculum for middle school and high school students. The concept will strengthen human rights education while bridging the gap between the history of human rights and the reality of modern day examples. Check out our brand new Education section that we're working on as we continue to post resources throughout the Fall of 2021.
